Weekend Pictures was born from a simple but powerful idea: to create the breakout roles Hollywood hasn’t handed us yet. It’s about honing our craft, bringing our stories to life, and taking creative risks. Every two weeks we write, direct, and edit a brand new film, giving everyone on the team a chance to step into a different role and explore their potential.
While the purpose of Weekend Pictures is to build our reels, the heart of it lies in discovering who we are as artists. We hope our stories bring you a little joy and inspiration along the way.
Cheers,
WP
MEET THE TEAM
Weekend Pictures started with the intention to create the breakout roles that Hollywood has yet to give us. Namely, the freedom to work on our skills and see our projects come to life. With that, Weekend Pictures was born. Each film is written, directed and edited every two weeks; with every creative being given the opportunity to try out a new role with each film. The plot of Weekend Pictures is to add to our reels, but the theme is to discover who we are.
Hopefully, you can find some joy in the stories we create.
Cheers, WP.

Nandi Sharma

His work spans from personal dramas to dynamic performances alongside icons like George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

Gabrielle Steele
Actor, Writer, Director
Gabrielle hails from Sydney, Australia but you wouldn’t know it from her chameleon-like ability to shift accents. An actor turned writer turned director (in that order, depending on the week), she gravitates toward stories that are dark, funny, and uncomfortably human. She's drawn to flawed characters and the messy beauty of real life. She's written and directed short films and penned an all-female-led feature, currently turning her own trauma into art (and occasionally comedy).

Cameron Ley
Actor
Cameron is an actor from the Appalachian mountains of Pennsylvania. Pursuing a creative career seemed a faraway dream for Cameron. He was stuck in the drudgery of working a nine-to-five at a saw mill for years, until he finally had enough. He cashed out his savings account, packed a car and drove thirty-six hours to Los Angeles. Where he now drudges at a different nine-to-five, but he also acts when he can.

Vinnie Falcone
Actor, Writer, Comedian
Vinnie Falcone began his comedy journey in military school, performing for his platoon as punishment for writing jokes. Since moving to LA in 2015, he’s performed standup at The Comedy Store and LA Improv while writing and producing original pilots and shorts. Vinnie is currently developing a single-cam TV series and performing standup across the city.

Jennifer Welch
Actor, Writer, Director
Jennifer moved to Los Angeles at 19 to pursue acting but found her voice writing and directing. Frustrated with industry stereotypes, her first short film earned accolades at festivals, inspiring her to create more nuanced female roles. Drawing from her own experiences with diabetes, celiac disease, and anxiety, Jennifer crafts characters with depth and authenticity.

Joseph De La O
Sound Mixer, Boom Op, Sound Editor
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Joseph De La O discovered his love for film and music through early theater trips with his mother. After studying music composition at the University of North Texas, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his passion for film scoring, inspired by Gustavo Santaolalla’s work on The Last of Us video game.

Menachem Polonsky
Marketing Director
Is currently making this site. He's also been promised a shirtless cameo role of him slowly coming out of a pool. Slo-mo. Birds flying by. Babes on the beach. Sun is out. Zoom in. Hair is silky smooth. Body. Perfection. Zac Efron? Nowhere to be seen. Menachem? Saving the day. Screen goes black. Credits start rolling. The End.
